Who doesn’t know about Guardians of the Galaxy? It has been one of the greatest movies ever released by Marvel. First time release date August 1 2014, nowadays we have three movies already, including the lego one, and one is on the way to be released. With a lot of cool yet fun plot, most fans do enjoy watching these movies. Have a look at the existing three movies that has been released.

This movie is about Peter Quill who was just a young kid who kidnapped by alien led by Yondu in 1988. He managed to survive by living as a part of the alien society. One day, when he visited a planet called Morag, he found a strange orb and brought it home. However, it costed him danger. He got attacked by raid led by one named Korath. Yondu figured out that Quill was the thief and sent an assasin named Gamora to bring the Orb back.
Quill decided to sell it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it as Gamora got that Orb first. They both were involved in a fight, also dragged another pair of hunters named Groot and Rocket. Groot is a living tree and Rocket is a robotical racoon. Four them were caught by Nova Corps and put in the Kyln prison.
In the prison, they met Drax who previously tried to kill Gamora. He blamed her for working for Thanos and Ronan, who he believed already killed his family. Through the meeting in the prison, everyone started to be honest to each other. Quill persuaded Drax to trust Gamora that she could bring Drax to see Ronan in person. Gamora revealed that she planned to betrayed Gamora.
Following Gamora's plan, five of them worked together to first escape from the prison and flee using Quill's ship named the Milano. Later, it was revealed that Gamora is Thano's adoptive daughter. Ronan met him to inform his daughter's betrayal. Drax came to confront Ronan and others met Tivan to sell the Orb. Bad things happened when Carina, Tivan's slave, grabbed the Orb that caused an explosion.
Ronan defeated Drax easily, yet he couldn't catch the rest. Therefore, Nebula, Gamora's sister and her followers tried to catch them. Nebula herself also hated his father, so she decided to be an ally with Ronan.
As there was list of criminal case that those five people met, Quill, Rocket, Groot, Gamora, and Drax were wanted. They called themselves Guardians of the Galaxy. Through this point as well, Quill learned that actually he was a half-human. His father is an unknown species. Together with his team mates, he must do any possible ways to save the universe.

Following the success of the first movie, Marvel decided to continue the story of Guardians of Galaxy by releasing its second volume. Three years after the first one was released, the enthusiasm of audience was still high. Therefore, this second movie also works well and fans found it satisfying to watch it.
In this movie, Guardians of the Galaxy work to protect precious batteries given by Abilisk, a monster. They were chosen by Ayesha, the leader of Sovereign race. They got it as an exchange for Nebula, Gamora's sister, who tried to steal the battery at the first place.
However, the case was getting worse as Rocket stole those batteries for his sake. Being clueless about this, Guardian's shop was attacked by drones controlled by Sovereign. Strangely, something broke all drones and forced the Guardian's ship to land on a random planet.
After they landed, that something revealed his identity and introduced himself as Ego, the father of Quill. He invited the rest of Guardians of the Galaxy members to visit his planet. However, Rocket and Groot were asked to fix the ship and put eyes on Nebula.
Yondu was now hired by Ayesha to catch the Guardians. Yondu easily caught Rocket, yet he was hesitate to catch Quill. It was known later that Yondu was the one who raised Quill all this time. During that incident, Nebula managed to run away and find Gamora. She wanted to kill her because she thought that Gamora was the one who made Thanos, her adoptive father, hated her.
Ego explained that back then he fell in love with Meredith, Quill's mother and asked Yondu to bring Quill after his mother dead. However, Yondu never brought him that made Ego tried to search on his own all this time. Ego told that he was building planets that later can be led by his children using cosmic rewind. Therefore, he impregnated many women.
Drax met Mantis, Egos' servant. All of Guardians of the Galaxy reunited and they started to have a new plan. They tried to destroy Ego's planet. When Ego found out, Quill tried to hold him back. Rocket set the bomb and let it destroy Ego's plane. Ego was dead. Everyone manage to survive, except Yondu who chose to sacrifice himself in order to let Quill survived. Nebula and Gamora was in a good term now. Yet, Nebula chose not to join the ally and have her own game to kill Thanos.
To show respect to Yondu, Guardians of the Galaxy had a funeral. Gamora came to Quill and told him that she liked him. That was the beginning of their story as a couple.

Celebrating christmas this year, The Guardians of the Galaxy released a Holiday Special version. It is definitely good news for all fans around the world who have been waiting for this movie to release the new one next year. While waiting for the volume 3, fans can enjoy themselves watching the holiday version for now.
The characters are still the same following the previous two. Not to mention, soundtrack is good as always, following the trailers. It is about the journey of the Guardians of the Galaxy members in finding the best Christmas gift for their leader, Peter Quill.
This volume brings this movie to another level as there are two special features in this movie. Band Old 97's and Kevin Bacon were cast to be their own fictional character. Frankly speaking, Gunn has already been working on this concept since the second volume was released in 2017. The production of this movie itself occurred in the same time for the production of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. For your information, the third volume is expected to be released in 2023. This movie is not released in the cinema, yet fans can watch it on Disney+.
Christmas is coming, members of The Guardians of the Galaxy gathered to hear the story from Kaglin about how Yondu failed to manage Christmas celebration for young Quill. This story brought an idea to Mantis. She talked to Drax about finding a gift for Quill. Quill himself is still depressed after losing Gamora.
After brainstorming about the right gift, both decided to fly to Earth and find Kevin Bacon, Quill's favorite hero, as a present. It took time for Mantis and Drax to find Bacon, yet they found him in Beverly Hills. Bacon was surprised to see them and tried to run away. He tried to call the police, but Mantis and Drax was faster to bring him to Knowhere.
On the way, Mantis and Drax were disappointed knowing the fact that Bacon was an actor, not a real hero. During the party, Quill was surprised to see Bacon there and insisted to bring Bacon back to the earth. During the way back home, Bacon figured out that he inspired young Quill to be a hero. Bacon was moved and decided to celebrate Christmas with the rest of The Guardians of the Galaxy members before coming back home.
Quill later told Mantis that Yondu was not that bad. Yondu gave quill a pair of blasters that he still used until today. Another surprising thing is Mantis revealed herself as Quill's half sister. All this time, she tried to cover this truth because of her fear toward Ego's anger and Quill's unpredicted response.
All of Guardians of the Galaxy movies are worth to be watched alone or with family. The fun plot makes everyone enjoys how characters grows through the problems they have. We are also looking forward for its upcoming and new movie volume three that will be release date in 2023.
